1996 Fender Standard Telecaster! SOLD!

I’ve long been impressed with the feel and overall quality of Fender’s Standard Series. Many players would say they rival the playability and tone of the much more expensive American guitars. Good specs and attention to detail equal a great guitar. This example is even cooler thanks to some nice upgrades. The body is alder for good tone. The C shaped maple neck features maple fingerboard with 21 frets. The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan Hot Lead Stack while the stock neck pickup remains. An upgraded 6 saddle string through bridge and upgraded Grover Rotomatic tuners keep it rock solid. This example is finished in black and features an upgraded single ply black pickguard. The hardware is a cool mix of chrome and black. A great looking guitar and a solid value!

This Standard Strat plays and sounds fine. The pickups sound nice and offer a variety of tones. Unfortunately the middle position of the pickup selector only outputs the neck pickup. Probably something as simple as a crossed wire. Condition wise this one is for a player.  It shows moderate pick, belt and clearcoat scratches. Some dents and dings. This was originally a toploader and was modified to be a string through. The holes are a little crooked but it functions fine. If you're concerned with cosmetics, this one isn't for you. Comes on a gigbag.

This is a cool guitar with hip vibe. A good value thanks to a few stories as well. I usually sell stock Standard Teles for more than this example but this one has upgrades and is priced lower.

SOLD!
