1997 Fender California Series Fat Telecaster! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Here's a unique Tele for your gear Arsenal! The California Series was available in the 90s and offered players a great value in a quality Fender. Assembled in the USA, these guitars compare favorably to more expensive American Standard and American Deluxe series instruments. Vintage looks and modern feel are the hallmarks of this series. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a maple fingerboard with 22 frets. A Tex Mex bridge pickup and a factory USA Fender humbucker at the neck offer tons of tones. A 6 saddle, string through vintage bridge and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is Fender's classic Fiesta Red set off by a white pickguard and chrome hardware. A really cool Tele at a great price. This Tele plays and sounds good. The neck is comfortable and the action is good. The pickups sound good and have typical Fender sparkle. Very versatile. A cool guitar. This is a very clean 12 year old guitar. plastic still on the pickguard. Very, very light playwear. Many would call it new old stock. Comes in an aftermarket hardshell case. This Tele represents an awesome bang for the buck. American quality at an excellent price. A new American Standard Tele will set you back a whopping $1339.99 at the superstores. And you're not going to be able to get one in cool Fiesta Red or with a neck humbucker. This one is a much better value and has some hard to find features. |
