A Gibson Flying V is THE choice for hard rock and metal. A classic combo of features for big tone. Solid mahogany body for excellent sustain. Solid mahogany neck with a slim taper and a rosewood fingerboard for easy playability. Hot 500T and 496R pickups for smoking hot tones. Nashville Tuneomatic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for rock solid tone. Vintage Kluson style tuners are dependable and accurate. Super hip white lacquer finish. Rock guitars don't get much cooler than a Flying V!
This V has good feel and nice tone. The slim taper neck is straight and the action is good. The pickups are loud and powerful. This guitar has seen some play and time and shows medium belt buckle scratches as well as normal clear and pick scratches. Some dents and dings. There's a couple yellowed spots in the finish, normal stuff for a white Gibson and hip vibe. Comes in original hardshell case that's a bit beat and has a funky combo lock. Still a solid case.
A white Gibson V is a legendary instrument. Classic lines and powerful tone. A new one would cost you $1199 at the superstores. Buy a used one and save some dough! This is as cool as it gets without mortgaging your house for an original late 60s V.
