A great recreation of a 57 Strat in one of the best colors! Cool upgrades too! Fender's American Vintage series recreates legendary instruments with great USA made quality. Nice attention to detail and excellent workmanship. This one is no exception. The body is alder for killer vintage tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage style frets. The pickups have been upgraded to Fender Texas Specials for killer blues tone. Fender's classic trem and Kluson style tuners round out the package. The finish is Ocean Turquoise lacquer or at least that's what the original owner told me. It sort of looked Lake Placid Blue to me but after spending some time with it, I'm not 100% sure. Either way, it's some kinda blue-ish color. If it makes you feel better, I'll come up with a snappy custom color name like "Basin Street Blue", "Tidy Bowl Blue", or "Smurfy Azure". A great looking and sounding Strat!
This Strat has good vintage tone and feel. The V shape neck is comfy. The Texas Special pickups dish out big blues tone. A great Strat for the bar band player. Condition wise, this is a solid used guitar. It shows some normal playwear and signs of use. Moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some dents and dings. Not collector clean but good for a player. Still nice looking. Back plate MIA. Comes in original tweed case.
Nothing is cooler than a Strat in a custom color and this one just oozes vibe. A new one will set you back a whopping $1899 in the superstores. Here's one for a whole lot less. BUY IT NOW and own a great Strat!
