To celebrate Fender's 60th Anniversary in 2006, the company decided to offer limited edition versions of its most popular models. These instruments have become popular among collectors for their great looks and cool features. This Diamond Anniversary P-Bass features top notch MADE IN THE USA quality and great player oriented upgrades. The body is made of alder for great tone. The 34 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. An American Series Split Coil humbucker is hooked to the versatile S-1 switching system for tons of tone. An adjustable bridge and heavy duty tuners round out the hardware. The instrument is finished in a 50s style 2 tone sunburst for a great vintage vibe. Special features include a faux headstock diamond and 60th anniversary logo. A great bass for the gigging player or any collector!

Like most American Series instruments I've had in stock, this bass plays great. The C shaped neck feels excellent and the action is low. The neck is straight and the frets are good. The pickups sounds excellent and the S-1 switching offers several tones. This is a super clean used instrument. In fact, it still has the plastic on the pickguard. Bought new, collector owned and has seen very little play time, it shows very little signs of use. Comes in a used aftermarket hardshell case.

Fender's anniversary models are popular among collectors. For good reason as they are great instruments that incorporate some cool features. This one would make a great addition to your collection. Great looks and good tone. A new American Standard P-Bass in sunburst will cost you $1299 but not be nearly as cool as this one. Why not get a very cool limited edition at a great price?
