Advanced design and features at a great price! Steinberger's Synapse series introduces the first new Steinberger design in years. Combining tradition with innovation, the SS-2F will please many players. The neck is made of graphite but bonded to hard rock maple for the strength of composites but the warmth of wood. The body wings are maple for bright tone. The 25.5 inch neck features a 14 inch radius Phenoilic fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. EMG 81 and 85 pickups deliver killer tone. A Double Ball bridge and 40:1 direct pull tuners round out the advanced hardware. The finish is a satin black for a modern appearance and all hardware is black plated. A Steinberger with great feel and tone and priced right!
Like most Steinbergers I've played, this Synapse plays great and has excellent tone. The big frets and flat fingerboard make for easy playability. The neck is straight and the action is low. The electronics work great and the factory EMG's sound awesome. Tons of tone. A great modern guitar. Condition wise, this one is nice. It shows light playwear and pick scratches as well as a few indents. Nice overall condition. Comes in a Steinberger gigbag.
These are great guitars for the player that wants innovative features, good playability and nice tone. If you are a trailblazer, a Steinberger would make a great tool. A new one will cost you $799.00 in stores. This one is nice and priced much less.
