What a unique design! The RKS Wave incorporates many unique features and build techniques to offer an advanced instrument. Made in the USA. This neck through guitar features a 3 piece maple neck and polymer core with a wood based polymer core body shell. The body shells are interchangeable for variety. The neck features a 25.5 inch scale and unique compound 10-12 inch radius and big frets. Dual Lace humbuckers dish out big tone. Innovative features include recessed knobs and pickup selector switch. The color is a unique satin blue. If you are into space age guitars, you should check out an RKS!
This RKS has unique tone and good feel. The body construction adds great resonance and sustain. The big frets and compound radius fingerboard feel good. A fun guitar. This guitar is bargain priced thanks to a few small flaws. Call it my scratch and dent sale. The strap button screw on the bottom is a bit loose and chewed up and needs replacement. There's a tiny crack on the bottom of one of the wings that could either be ignored (it looks stable) or you could replace the whole assembly. The nut could be cut a tad bit lower but many players could live with it. The rest of the guitar shows moderate pick and clearcoat scratches and some dents. Comes in a gigbag.
This is a fun guitar that sounds like nothing else in the world. I have priced it for the player. A new RKS Wave will cost you $699.00 in stores. This one is HALF PRICE. What a deal!
