60's Silvertone Harmony Stratotone Jupiter 1423! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Incredible tone! Harmony Stratotones have become quite popular in recent years. For good reason, they are great sounding guitars. Bright, clear and articulate. The hollow body is made of maple and delivers a great sound. The maple neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. Dual Rowe Dearmond pickups dish out clear vintage tone. Waverly tuners, a floating bridge and a trapeze tailpiece round out the hardware. The finish is black sparkle for a cool retro look. This Silvertone was built to be sold in the Sears catalog and is a version of the Harmony Jupiter Stratotone H49. A cool vintage guitar for not a lot of bucks! This Harmony plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the action is good. The pickups are clear with great bite. Everything works as it should. The guitar shows normal wear for its age. Scratches, dents, dings and finish wear. Not super clean but still nice looking and fine for a player. The knobs look to be replaced. Comes in a free gig bag. I've long been a fan of the Stratotone. A good one can sound incredible. Bright, woody and full of life, these guitars are great for a variety of styles. Harmony has been revived in recent years and have even seen fit to reintroduce many classics. The new imported Harmonies are actually more expensive than originals in many case. Here's a 60s original at a great price. |
