Affordable 12 string electrics are tough to come by. Luckily Burns has come to the rescue with the infinitely cool Double 6 Electric 12. Cool looks, awesome tone and a great price. Good quality for the bucks. The body is basswood for good tone and weight. The maple neck features a 25.5 inch scale rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Famous Burns Tri Sonic pickups dish out killer sounds from sparkle to growl. Enclosed tuners and a Gotoh adjustable bridge keep it rock solid. The guitar is finished in a cool green sunburst with a quite unique green skunk stripe on the back of the neck. No tone tool box is complete without an electric 12 string!
This Burns plays great and sounds excellent. Nice retro tones. The neck is straight and the action is low. The pickups sound and work great. Well taken care of. Comes in an oversized bass gig bag.
Almost any gigging or recording guitarist could benefit from the tone of an electric 12. A classic sound. If you don't want to spend big bucks on a Rickenbacker, the Burns Double Six may be for you. Unfortunately, Burns guitars have been extremely tough to find stateside. A shame really as they are well built and great playing instruments with tons of vibe.
