2007 Michael Rowan Del Rio V-I-H Promotional Model! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Michael Rowan is a respected builder of guitars from Garland, TX. His great attention to detail and top notch quality is currently earning him kudos and a great review a little while back in Vintage Guitar Magazine. Go to www.rowanguitars.com to learn more about this up and coming maker. The Del Rio series is Rowan’s attempt to offer Custom Shop quality at mass produced prices. The single cutaway body is mahogany for warm tone and good weight. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. The nut is bone for good tone and tuning stability. High quality Gotoh tuners team up with a 2 point Gotoh trem (one of the smoothest trems I’ve tried in recent memory) for rock solid performance. Rowans own Custom Texas Tremor humbuckers are hooked to a coil tap push pull pot for lots of versatility. Other top notch features include an innovative double action truss rod and a gorgeous abalone “R” inlay at the 12th fret. The guitar is finished in Hot Hues Sandstorm, a sort of silver color. Very cool look. No frills, no fancy stuff. Just a good instrument. This is one of the best values I’ve seen in a handmade guitar. Get one before he raises prices! This guitar has mega low, buzz free action. The set up is top notch and the guitar plays extremely well. The trem is smooth and I couldn’t get the guitar to go out of tune. The pickups are excellent with tons of warm tone. The coil tap gives an added dimension to the tones. A great guitar for the gigging player. This was a recent trade in from one of my customers. It’s practically New Old Stock condition. Hardly any signs of use. Super nice. Comes in a hardshell case. It’s a pleasure to offer a great playing guitar from an accomplished maker. This would make a great tool for a gigging musician. As Rowan’s rep grows you can own one of his earlier guitars. Handmade quality at a great price, how can you beat it? |
