1980 Gretsch White Falcon Stereo! SOLD!

Over the top and super deluxe! This 1980 White Falcon represents the best of the Gretsch line. Super expensive in its day, these guitars are fairly rare and coveted by players and collectors. All of the White Falcon trademarks are there. The double cutaway, hollow body is made of laminated maple for woody tone. The maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with block inlays. Gold sparkle binding adorns this instrument adding to its deluxe looks. Dual STEREO Filtertron pickups offer a variety of tones. Yup, stereo. The pickups can be switched a variety of ways but you can send the output of the bass strings to one amp and the output of the treble strings to another. An included splitter box and special cables allow this. Pretty crazy! A Bigsby vibrato, Grover tuners and an Adjustomatic bridge keep it rock solid. The finish is gorgeous white lacquer set off by gold hardware. An incredible looking instrument that will delight many players and collectors.

This Falcon plays well and sounds nice. The neck is straight. The frets show normal wear but still play fine. The pickups and NASA approved electronics all work as they should. A really fun guitar to play around with. If you're a gadget freak, this one may float your boat! This guitar has been well taken care of over the past 28 years. It shows average scratches, dents, dings and wear. Nothing terrible. The binding is still tight and it shows none of the rot you see on many vintage Gretsch guitars. Just a few spots where it has shrunk but all minor and expected. No neck set issues. A really solid example. Comes in original hardshell case with some case candy.

It doesn't get much crazier than a Falcon, especially one with all of the gizmotrons attached. This is a nice solid example that plays and sounds good. Many dealers would ask over $6000.00 for one like this. My price is much lower.
