You don't have to mortgage your house to get a nice vintage guitar! LG-1's are one of the best bang for the buck deals out there. Built with the same quality and craftsmanship as their big brothers, these guitars are great for players on a budget. Quality construction. The top is solid spruce while the back and sides are solid mahogany for good tone. The 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets. A rosewood bridge and Kluson tuners round out the hardware. The original sunburst lacquer finish offers a classic look and is complimented by a tortoise shell pickguard. A really cool guitar to strum and collect!

This LG-1 sounds and plays great. The frets are good, the neck is straight and the action is low. Nice tone and volume for the size. It will put many bigger and more expensive guitars to shame. Great for fingerpicking and blues. Condition wise, this one is remarkably well preserved for its age. It shows normal checking, scratches and a few dings but nothing major. Cleaner than most you'll find. One small blemish on the back (click HERE to see) which could be a small crack but is stable. Nothing major. A great vintage guitar. Comes in original chipboard alligator case.

If you want old wood tone but don't want to shell out big bucks for an old J-45, this LG-1 may fit the bill. Cool looks, even cooler tone and a great price. You will be hard pressed to find one as clean as this one too. Other dealers are asking over 2 grand for similar models and most aren't as well preserved as this example. Here's a nice one at a great price.
