Fender's Lonestar Strat offers players classic Fender looks and tones but the added versatility of a humbucker. Great for blues and hard rock, the Lonestar has been the choice of many players. The American Lonestars were discontinued years ago and have been popular among musicians. Great American made quality and specs. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. A factory Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker teams up with hot Texas Special single coils for a variety of sounds. A 2 point trem offers smooth whammy action while sealed tuners keep it solid. This example is finished in classic white and is set off by a tortoise pickguard. A great guitar for the gigging player!
The Lonestar Strat is made for the player. Tons of versatility from the HSS pickup arrangement. The neck is ready for the blues and rock player thanks to some big frets and a flat radius. Bends are easy and playability is excellent. The neck is straight and the action is low on this one. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one is for the player. It shows moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some dents and dings. The bottom strap button looks to have taken a hit and has been reinstalled. Fender no longer makes an American Lonestar. A real pity as these were great and very versatile instruments. The closest thing out there is an American Standard HSS which will run you $999.99 in the superstores. A very nice guitar but these don't come from the factory with the Duncan/Texas Special pickup combo that many players crave. Why not grab a great guitar and save some money doing it?
