2006 Gretsch 6118T-LTV Lacquer Anniversary! SOLD!

Incredible Gretsch tone and features you would usually only find on a Custom Shop guitar! The 6118TV features a lacquer finish, TV Jones pickups and trestle bracing to produce an incredible instrument. The hollow body is made of laminated maple for good tone. The 1959 style trestle bracing adds sustain and feedback resistance. This is the same bracing  that's found in a vintage Gretsch and is responsible for the distinct tone that you hear from Brian Setzer, Pete Townsend on "Who's Next" and Poison Ivy form the Cramps. The 24.6 inch scale maple neck features a 12 inch radius ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and thumbprint inlays. Dual USA made TV Jones Classic pickups dish out that great Gretsch sound. A Bigsby vibrato, pinned adjustomatic bridge and Grover Sta-tite tuners round out the hardware. The finish is Gretsch's trademark two tone smoke green. As an added bonus, this finish is genuine nitrocellulose lacquer. This is a great recreation of an original 50s Annie with some nice, modern features.

This Gretsch plays great with a great feeling neck and nice action. The neck is straight and the action is low. The TV Jones pickups sound awesome. They offer a wide range of tones for a variety of music styles. Everything works as it should. This is a very clean used guitar. Very well taken care of. It shows some light pick and clearcoat scratches in the finish. Great looking condition. Comes in original hardshell case.

There's nothing like the sound of a good Gretsch. Unfortunately, finding an original 50s or 60s model in nice, playable condition can be difficult. These new Gretsches are built great and really capture the tone and vibe of the originals. A new 6118T LTV will cost you $2350.00 in stores. Here's a very, very nice used one for a lot less.
